Our Operations Manager, Savaii, joined Work Now Hawaii in April 2024, driven by a longstanding passion for helping individuals develop, grow, and achieve success in their personal and professional lives. Since 2011, Savaii has actively participated as a youth, high school, and collegiate sports coach, where he has had the privilege of mentoring athletes both on and off the field. Through coaching, Savaii developed a deep appreciation for leadership, accountability, personal growth, and the profound impact that guidance and encouragement can have on an individual’s future. 

Savaii’s connection to Work Now Hawaii was established through years of collaboration with General Manager Kyle in the coaching community. The transition from athletic coaching to employment coaching felt like a natural fit, as both roles revolve around identifying potential, building confidence, overcoming obstacles, and helping people achieve meaningful goals. 

Work Now Hawaii was intriguing to Savaii because of the organization’s commitment to empowering individuals through employment opportunities and support services. He believes that meaningful work can create lasting positive change and is proud to be part of a team dedicated to helping others build brighter futures for themselves and their families. 

Savaii is passionate about his role with Work Now Hawaii because the organization’s mission closely reflects what he has devoted much of his life to—helping others recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve goals they may not have thought possible. Whether coaching athletes or supporting individuals in their employment journeys, the most rewarding part for Savaii is witnessing someone gain confidence, create opportunities, and succeed. Work Now Hawaii provides the platform to make that impact every day. Knowing that their work helps individuals, families, and communities build a stronger future is what motivates him and makes him proud to be part of the organization. 

Since joining Work Now Hawaii, Savaii has had the opportunity to grow into a leadership role, as Operations Manager, overseeing daily operations across numerous facilities throughout Oahu. He coordinates workforce schedules, manages resources, maintains client relationships, and ensures that our teams consistently deliver high-quality service. A significant part of Savaii’s role involves serving as the primary liaison between Work Now Hawaii, our workforce, and our customers. This includes collaborating with facility representatives, addressing operational needs, coordinating mobile teams, and ensuring that contract requirements are met efficiently and professionally. 

Savaii states, “The growth I have experienced with Work Now Hawaii has allowed me to combine my passion for leadership and service with operational management, creating opportunities to support both our employees and the communities we serve.” 

Savaii hopes that Work Now Hawaii, in the next 5 to 10 years, will continue expanding its impact throughout Hawaii, while creating even more opportunities for individuals to find meaningful employment and professional growth. He also expressed his desire to see the organization further strengthen its reputation as a trusted partner, delivering exceptional service while remaining committed to its people-first mission. By investing in the workforce, developing future leaders, and building strong community and customer relationships, he believes Work Now Hawaii can continue making a lasting difference across the islands for many years to come. Savaii believes the sky is the limit; and that the tremendous footprint already established is remarkable, to say the least. 

Savaii reflects, “My time with Work Now Hawaii has reinforced my belief that every individual has value, potential, and the ability to succeed when given the right opportunity and support. It has been incredibly rewarding to witness people overcome challenges, gain confidence, secure employment, and move toward greater independence.” He adds, “One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is seeing the direct impact that meaningful employment can have on an individual’s confidence, independence, and quality of life… I take pride in helping build and maintain an operation that creates opportunities for people to contribute, grow, and succeed.” 

Savaii has also enjoyed developing strong relationships with customers and stakeholders across Oahu. Successfully balancing operational demands while supporting the workforce requires teamwork, communication, and trust. Witnessing those relationships grow and knowing that our teams are making a positive impact every day has been one of the most fulfilling parts of his experience with Work Now Hawaii. 

Going forward, Savaii advises others, “Never underestimate the value of consistency, effort, and a positive attitude. Success rarely happens overnight, but small actions taken every day can lead to significant results over time. Be willing to learn, remain open to new opportunities, and don’t be afraid of setbacks. Challenges often become the experiences that teach us the most and prepare us for future success. Most importantly, invest in people, build strong relationships, and look for ways to help others along the way. Success is often measured not only by what we accomplish ourselves, but by the positive impact we have on those around us.”
